The first one on one date was with Vienna. We learned shortly into the date that Jake is afraid of heights and had trouble working up the courage to go bungee jumping. As they were on the date, the women back at the mansion were really hoping that Vienna did not get a rose. When she came back with a rose and an amazing story, the women were furious.
The group date was at the John Lovitz Comedy Club, which was cool. The women were informed that they would be performing stand-up comedy. Ashleigh started crying before the performance started and didn’t want to do it. Some of the girls were funny; I think Michelle’s performance sucked. The impressions of the other girls were funny; some of the women had the chance to laugh at themselves. Jake noticed that a lot of the impressions made fun of Vienna, which made him wonder if they’re seeing something he’s not. Eventually, Ashleigh performs her stand-up and did pretty well. I had a feeling that she would do well.
During the date, Ashleigh told Jake how she felt when Vienna came back with a rose. Some of the other women also told him that they didn’t think Vienna was right for him. I thought that that was a little forward; they were pretty much calling out Jake’s judgment. I could tell that he didn’t like it that the women questioned his choice.
Later on in the evening Jake admits to Michelle that is had been a pretty rough night for him. Why wouldn’t it be? All the girls admitted that they didn’t agree with his decision on Vienna. Michelle pretty much had to ask permission to kiss Jake, which was weird. Then when it was over she said, “Gimme something more than that”. Then they talked about how she had packed and wanted ready to leave, then she stayed, but now she’s thinking of leaving again. Jake did the only sensible thing; he told Michelle it would be best if she left. On her way out, she was surprised that he “kicked her to the curb.” C’mon, she was asking for it!
Ella’s one on one date was a little predictable. Right away I knew the ‘surprise’ was going to be Ethan, her son. Who didn’t see that coming? Jake and Ethan got along well and Ella was happy to see that. She said that she realizes that she’s going to be there for a while. I made a mental note to watch her once she got back at the mansion. I want to see how she deals with all of the bickering there.
During the cocktail party Elizabeth and Jake sat down to talk for a while. Jake accused Elizabeth of playing games with him and told her that she was sending mixed signals. She doesn’t really see that and can’t understand Jake’s confusion. Then… Surprise, surprise…Vienna ends up interrupting them! At the rose ceremony, Jake chose 9 women to move on, and Elizabeth was not one of them.
